This project was archived.
There's been a lot of additions to the road network in Hyderabad recently that caused over 25,000 connectivity issues. We'll use this task to clean this up.
Step 1: Duplicate nodes
Possible to fix using JOSM validator (Shift+V) which shows these as an error. Select the duplicate nodes group and hit fix which combines the nodes to make a junction.
Step 2 : Overlapping ways
Create a filter (Window>Filter) with highway=* -layer=* -bridge=* -tunnel=* and invert it (check i) to display only surface level roads. Select crossing way objects from validator and hit shift+i to create intersection points (requires installing utilsplugin2 from JOSM plugin preferences)
Step 3 : Way end near node
Select the ways and junctions using validator and hit j to join to the nearest way. This might lead to unnecessary connections,so a visual check is needed to make sure new issues are not introduced.
